The Jaynettes-Sally Go Round the Roses. 1963
Allegedly one of Andy Warhol’s favorite songs, it could be true, he did like everything. Regardless, Andy’s jam, has become my go to song for when I’m feeling a little ruffled. The singers, the band, (I bet even the caterers) sounded so cool and detached. The feeling is contagious, listening to this song, I can’t help the urge to rest on the back foot and take it all in. Man, and there can never be too many pop songs in minor keys.
I want you always to remember me. Will you remember that I existed, and that I stood next to you here like this?
